Coronavirus (COVID 19) Update
Springdale Mason Pediatrics is continuing to monitor and adjust to our “new reality” regarding the coronavirus (COVID 19). We are working hard to stay abreast of new developments to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible.
We are implementing changes which you will see this week to help combat the spread of the coronavirus. We are adjusting our schedule to see those with well visits and those not sick with a fever or respiratory illness in the morning session and will see our sick patients in the afternoon session. We feel this is very important to keep exposure to illness to a minimum. To do this, it is necessary to keep separation between healthy and ill patients. We are also suspending our evening hours at this time.
When you arrive for an appointment, we now ask that you wait in your car instead of in the waiting room. Please call the office to notify us when you arrive for your appointment. Someone will be at the door to take your information and assist you with this procedure. We hope to minimize any exposures in the waiting room and greatly appreciate you patience and cooperation with this measure.
If you or your child is sick and if you have masks, please have the sick person or persons wear a mask when entering the office. We realize this may not be possible. However, the health care field is facing a nationwide shortage of masks and other crucial supplies and we are trying to do our part to conserve resources.
Strict cleaning procedures are in place throughout the office to protect our patients, providers and staff from illness.
Please call ahead of any appointment if someone in the household has been out of the Greater Cincinnati area recently or had contact with a diagnosed or suspected case of coronavirus (COVID 19) so we may determine how best to care for your child. Our offices do not have the capability to test for COVID 19. If you are concerned that your child may have the infection, please call the office so our nurses and providers may determine the best plan of action for your family.
We know these are uncharted waters we are entering right now, but if we all follow the recommendations by health officials regarding keeping a safe social distance of 6 feet from others, washing your hands/ using hand sanitizer frequently and staying at home when you feel sick, we hope to lessen the impact the coronavirus will have on our families, our staff, our community and our country. We remain committed to providing the best health care possible for your family.
Stay healthy and stay safe!
