About Our Business Office
Springdale-Mason Pediatrics handles all its own billing in-house. Our Business Office can be reached directly at (513) 771-5956 Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. Here are answers to some common questions you might have:
How much do I really owe?
You are responsible for the amount listed on your bill in the box labeled “AMOUNT DUE NOW.” Since every insurance plan is different, we ask that if you disagree with how much your insurance company paid on your account, please contact them prior to contacting our office.
Can I make a credit card payment over the phone?
Yes. You can avoid sending your credit card information through the mail. We can take your information over the phone and process the payment for no additional fee.
What if I believe my insurance should have paid the balance?
You should contact your insurance company in this case. It is best to know the exact service date when calling them. If you are told the claim will be reprocessed, please ask how long it will take and then advise us of the information.
My bill is for my newborn, is this a correct bill?
Yes, the bill is correct. If you do not have or have not provided our office with your child’s insurance card we are not able to file these claims. Once we have your insurance information we will file these claims. Be sure to contact your insurance to add your child to your insurance plan and provide our office with their insurance card by their 2-month visit.
What if I am divorced or getting a divorce and believe my former spouse is responsible for the balance?
Statements are sent only to the guarantor. The guarantor is defined as the parent/person who provides the primary residence for the child. The guarantor can be different from the main insurance policy holder. The guarantor is pulled from the patient information sheet that has been completed in our office. If the guarantor believes a former spouse is responsible for a balance, the guarantor must forward the statement to him or her.
Is there a returned check fee?
Yes. If a check is returned to us unpaid from your bank there is a $30.00 fee. We expect the returned check amount plus the late fees to be paid to Springdale-Mason Pediatrics within 10 working days of notification.
What is a rebilling fee?
A $5.00 rebilling charge is added each month if there is an outstanding balance on your account due from you, not your insurance company.
